The important questions

FAQs

Using instarinse®

What does the rinse clean?
The interior and the drinking rim – not the full external body.
What cups are suitable?
Reusable cups up to 20 cm high that can tolerate a boiling beverage.
Does instarinse® work with insulated or double-wall cups?
Yes.
Will my cup be dry afterwards?
Ceramic & metal cups: typically emerge warm and mostly dry.
Plastic & insulated cups: may retain more moisture, which evaporates quickly.
Cups are never excessively wet and are safe to handle immediately.
Can I open the lid mid-cycle?
Yes. The lid remains unlocked; cycle ceases immediately with no risk of steam exposure.
Can I run two cycles back-to-back?
Yes. Place the next cup and touch the screen again.
Is there anything I should do before starting a cycle?
Ensure the cup sits flat and stable on the platform, with no obstruction to the lid path.

Safety

How is the user safely protected while rinsing?
  • Tempered safety glass lid
  • Dual-redundant lid interlocks
  • Continuous thermal monitoring (200 checks per second)
  • Fail-safe control logic that halts the cycle if a fault is detected
What if someone obstructs or tampers with the lid?
The cycle will not start if the lid cannot close; if unsafe mid-cycle, it stops immediately.
Are exterior surfaces safe to touch during use?
Yes. They remain cool, are IPX4 splash-resistant, chemical-cleaning compatible, and use thermally toughened safety glass.
I saw "steam" escaping from the lid. Is this normal and safe?
Yes. It is cool vapour from the quick-dry design, not live steam.
Is the steam pressure safe for public use?
Yes. Operating pressure is ~58 psi, below UK classification, with pressure path engineered for safety.
What happens to pressure at the end of a cycle?
Pressure dissipates before the lid opens; interlock confirms safe conditions.

Installation and Tank Capacity

Does instarinse® need plumbing?
No. It uses internal tanks for supply and waste.
How many rinses per set of tanks?
Roughly 100–125 rinses (40–50 mL per rinse).
Does the unit detect when tanks are full or empty?
Yes. Supply and Waste Tanks detect absence, empty, or full states; cycles are blocked in these cases.
What power is required?
A standard 230 VAC, 50 Hz wall socket. Maximum 2200 W.
Is there anything to consider when positioning the unit?
Place on a stable, level surface with space for the lid and front door; access to a mains socket; use adjustable feet if needed.
Can one person move it?
It can be gently moved, but at 25 kg it is best handled by two people or a trolley, with tanks emptied first.
